Yahtzee!
Geocache Name:
Pit Stop (GC5RM5D)
Difficulty/Terrain Rating:
2.5/2
Why this is the Geocache of the Week:
This geocache is a perfect example of being extremely creative, while staying within the guidelines. The guidelines state that geocachers must not dig when finding or placing a geocache—however, like with this geocache, piling rocks on top of the geocache provides the same feel as a buried cache, without needing a shovel.
What geocachers have to say:
“Wow another GREAT cache from the CO!!! Dude you guys ROCK!!! Thanks for another creative cache. Keep up the great work!” – I C IT
“Awesome set up!, this one took some werk by the CO to get this made and installed, a nickname for this one should be “patience” haha, that’s what it takes to get er‘ done. great cache and of coarse another FAV point!, will definitely recommend to others. Thanks for a fun well done cache!!!” – bajatym
“Another really nice job on this cache! A favorite point for certain. THX 4 the fun!” – Smoochersmom
What the geocache hider, Adam_710, has to say:
Well i have always liked the trickier geocaches and wanted to build something i haven’t seen.. Ive always grown up around cars and a bottle jack was the first thing that came to mind, so i wanted to build around that. The construction from the mental design, to the physical product took about two weeks..the hardest part was the drawing and concepts. The physical build took two days.
Honesty i love getting the favorite points for these hides, thats what makes me want to keep coming up with better geocaches! The reactions are great to the pitstop, it just takes a lot of turning lol
Honestly its all for [geocachers]! I really enjoy reading the comments of the caches and there thoughts about how it was conctructed. Don’t forget to look for the ones are out there and ones that are coming out soon
